Privacy policy

Draft for owner and legal review. It describes how the software is built to behave; it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and must be completed with the seller’s legal identity and contact details before publication.

The desktop app

• Your projects, notes, tasks and settings are stored on your computer. SaaSTasks does not upload them and has no analytics or telemetry.
• When you choose an AI provider, the text you send (including project context the app assembles for that request) goes to that provider under their terms. With Ollama it stays on your machine.
• When you enable a plugin or data source, SaaSTasks contacts that service with the credentials you supply, which are kept in your operating system’s credential store.
• Licence activation sends your licence ID, an anonymous device ID (a one-way hash) and a computer name you can see, to our licence server. Update checks, if enabled, fetch a signed manifest and send no personal data.
• Diagnostics and feedback files are created locally with credentials redacted. Nothing is sent unless you send it.

This website and purchases

• Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your email, the amount, and an order reference - not your card details.
• We store the order, the licence issued, and device activations (to deliver the licence and enforce seat limits). We use Cloudflare to host the site and for download delivery, which processes request metadata such as IP addresses.
• The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the order data we hold, subject to legal retention duties (for example tax records). Contact: [seller contact email - to be completed].
